UCLA sent out an e-mail to its potential football recruits (at least we assume it was sent to multiple recruits) reminding them to tune in to the Bruins game at Arizona on Thursday night.
Ooo. Bad call.
As the above tweet by potential recruit Bryce Treggs indicates, that did not go well.
Not only were the Bruins destroyed 48-12 by an Arizona team playing its first game after firing coach Mike Stoops, they allowed the previously awful Wildcat rushing attack to gain 254 yards on the ground. Oh, they also got involved in a brawl when game officials turned their back while trying to apprehend a streaker who ran onto the field dressed as a referee. That came just before the half with UCLA trailing 42-7.
Looks like ole Rick Neuheisel may not have another year to put a dent into that L.A. Football Monopoly that apparently ended some years back.
