Cleveland Finally Gets One To Go Its Way

It’s been a long time coming for the city of Cleveland. After years, hell, decades of repeated setbacks, the city finally got the big win it has been waiting for. Last night the Cavaliers ripped the visiting Miami Heat and LeBron James 102-90 in what had to be the most satisfying win for the city of Cleveland in years.
Keep in mind, the Cavs have a 15-58 record after winning Tuesday night. It was also the team’s first double-digit win of the season. Let’s face it, after losing LeBron James last summer, the entire Cavs organization was crushed. It will take a while for the franchise to crawl out of the crater left behind by his departure, but Tuesday night’s win had to make the fans happy. Which is an emotion sports fans in Cleveland aren’t exactly used to.
Sure, James finished the night with a triple-double (27 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists), but Anthony Parker (20 points) and J.J. Hickson (21 points, 12 rebounds) stepped up and carried the Cavs to victory. Even willowy 7-foot center Ryan Hollins got in on the act, out-scoring LeBron’s new high-priced buddy Chris Bosh 13-10.
For one night at least, Cleveland got the best of James. The city finally extracted a small amount of revenge on basketball’s Benedict Arnold.
Good for them.
