Illinois, Georgia Tech, Michigan and Baylor all lost on Saturday. God, Georgia Tech?!? They were playing Virginia! The Perfect Offense couldn't lose to Virginia! Innocence...slowly being...ripped...away.
Three of those four schools were handed their first loss of the year. Baylor lost their second, but this was the one that took them ...

What I'm watching Saturday:
12 pm: Baylor/Texas A&M - I know I'm supposed to be a Big Ten honk, being an Indiana grad and all, but after I watch the first quarter of the IU/Wisky game and the Hoosiers somehow give up 42 unanswered points again, I'm done with the B1G ...

So Oklahoma won the Red River Shootout 55-17 at the Cotton Bowl. The end of the game featured a completely full OU half of the stadium and a mostly-empty Texas half of the stadium once OU was obviously up for good, which was sometime in the second quarter.
I don't know ...

Pitt/'Cuse make the mediocre slightly mediocre-er
The obvious news from Monday is that Syracuse and Pittsburgh both left the Big East for the ACC. Everyone knows this was a money move, since super conferences are coming, but there's no way this move really makes the ACC any better in football. The ...

Texas solved its quarterback problem in their road win over UCLA by putting in Case McCoy and a little bit of David Ash. McCoy is former Texas quarterback Colt McCoy's younger brother in case you've never heard of ESPN, the AP, or any other sports media outlet.
McCoy et al. were ...

What I'm watching this weekend (and notice how I'm not watching Indiana this week because I'm boycotting any game in which we play a 1-AA squad):
12 pm ET - Don't bother with the noon games this week unless you're an alumni. I'm thinking I'll take a nap. Oh hey, DVR'd ...

Mad props to the Texas Longhorns, who spent the past two weeks playing the entire nation like a fiddle before laughing all the way to the bank.
Texas became the savior of the sane collegiate sports world this week, ending speculation that the Big XII would be completely dismantled as the ...
