Lindsey Vonn Getting Divorced

Hey remember Lindsey Vonn? The attractive female skier who was the talk of the 2010 Winter Olympics? You know her, she’s talented, good-looking, seems to have a decent personality and she’s also rich. Well, now you can add single to her resume, as her husband of four years filed for divorce last Monday.

Game on fellas!

The couple was married on September 29, 2007, and not everyone was a fan of the match. Rumors have it that Ms. Vonn (formerly Ms. Kildow) became estranged from her father when she started dating Thomas Vonn, a former U.S. Olympic skier who is nine years older than her.

Team Vonn worked together and earned her a gold in the Downhill and a bronze in the Super-G at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010.

The couple’s relationship seemed solid, as Thomas would pretty much handle all aspects of his wife’s life so she could concentrate solely on skiing. He was also her chief adviser. Obviously something drastic happened if they are suddenly divorcing.

The 27-year-old Lindsey issued this statement about the situation to the Associated Press:

“This is an extremely difficult time in my personal life and I hope the media and my fans can respect my need for privacy on this matter.”

Oh don’t worry Lindsey I’m sure plenty of young men out there will be willing to “respect your privacy” as long as you promise them a shot in the future.
