The Balls On This Guy…

In case you weren’t aware, I hate Kelvin Sampson so much that picturing him suffering like Sisyphus in Milwaukee doesn’t even bring a smile to my face. His name only exits my mouth on rare occasions, usually preceded by the type of unhinged cursing reserved only for the San Diego Padres’ management team. So naturally when I read this today, my reaction was as follows: “Fucking Kelvin Sampson.”

Yes, Sampson has appealed the discipline handed down to him by the NCAA. His appeal is based on two counts, both ridiculous.

“The first point of appeal claims that the NCAA infractions committee misinterpreted testimony by former Indiana assistant Rob Senderoff, leading it to conclude that Sampson knowingly placed impermissible recruiting phone calls, according to the report. The second point of appeal claims the NCAA’s enforcement staff was biased and indicated an assumption of guilt by requesting a hearing before all of its interviews were complete.”

First off, there’s no way you can “misinterpret” what happened with Senderoff. It’s abundantly clear that Sampson willfully broke the rules despite the restrictions placed on him. The only possible argument would be that he broke the spirit of a rule and not the actual letter of it. Either way, he’s a scumbag who attempted to skirt the rules.

Secondly, there’s a reason the NCAA enforcement staff had an “assumption of guilt,” because you’re f-ing guilty Kelvin! We all know it. Hell, even Rod Blagojevich thinks you’re acting ridiculous. Like Blago, there’s a mountain of evidence against you and you’re acting like “Why are we even here?”

With everything you’ve cost Indiana University - including nearly $500,000 in legal fees - you can just piss off. While you’re bitching about injustices think about Kyle Taber. He’s a walk-on at Indiana who’s done everything right and instead of spending a season on a contending team, he’s suffering through what might be the worst in the history of Indiana basketball. Taber’s recollection of his senior year will forever be that a coach he trusted broke the rules then ran away and claimed he was a victim. When I think about that I don’t give a shit about your due process or your appeals. You got a five-year show-cause order and tucked tail and ran to the purgatory that is the Milwaukee Bucks’ bench. Deal with it. Just come to grips with the fact that you wont be coaching college basketball for quite some time because you’re an asshole. In fact, there’s a better chance you’ll be coaching on the Moon than in the NCAA within five years.

The fact that Sampson is even attempting this shows that he is one of the most arrogant individuals I’ve ever even heard of. He’s got some serious stones if he thinks he can pull this off.

This new development and the existing hatred I have for Kelvin has given me license to create a new name for him. On this blog he will no longer be referred to as Kelvin Sampson. No, he will henceforth be known as: Assholeface.
