Somehow This Seems Quite Predictable

Well, another one of those awesome National Football League offseason has finally come to a thrilling conclusion.
The Miami Dolphins traded Jason Taylor to the Washington Redskins on Sunday for two draft picks. Now if only we could get a resolution to the Brett Favre business, there’d be precious little personnel-related news to chatter about.
This seems like a good fit for the Redskins, but forgive me for being cynical about any move endorsed by Daniel Snyder. You know, the owner that loves to bring in great free agent talent that never actually wins anything.
And, as far as Miami is concerned, they do lose their best player. But it was clear from the word ‘go’ that Taylor’s larger-than-life off-field persona would never jive with the overhauled attitude Bill Parcells and his puppets are putting in place on South Beach.
So, it looks like a welcome divorce. I do, however, expect this move to flop in Washington. Doesn’t it always?
