The Vikings Continue to Waste Adrian Peterson

We’re no big fan of the Vikings around here. Not at all. But after watching them blow a chance to beat the Colts at home Sunday, we’ve come to a simple conclusion: It’s a damn shame Brad Childress isn’t taking advantage of Adrian Peterson’s immense talent.

We know what you’re thinking. Peterson ran for 160 yards against the Colts, he’s obviously being used properly.

True. Kind of.

The problem is that ass clown Childress has committed to at quarterback. After 16 games as a starter, Tarvaris Jackson really isn’t cutting it at all.

I mean, is it so much to ask to have a quarterback that is actually capable of, um, quarterbacking? Against Indy, Jackson was 14 for 24 for 130 yards, but couldn’t make a big play to get the Vikes in the end zone. That might explain why the scored 15 points on five field goals.

That’s a fantastic way to blow a home win.

It’s even better considering the Vikes have spent a ton of money upgrading all around the field but have continued to lean on a guy like Jackson.

He’s just not any good. Give even a mediocre quarterback this kind of ground game, with that play action passing capability, and the Vikings would be as good as they think they are.

Jackson has had a season worth of games to figure it out. What happened to Brad Johnson, anyway. We always liked him. He would know that when you have perhaps the best running back of this generation you don’t go around pissing his time in the league away.

Running backs have a shelf life, you know?
