East Carolina (6-6) vs. Maryland (8-4) (-7.5)
Suddenly this game is Ralph Friedgen's swan song for Maryland, and it's not a happy one.
You do have to respect the fact that he made Maryland fire him instead of just retiring or resigning. The guy is in his sixties; this is probably his ...

Maryland fired long-time coach Ralph Friedgen Monday basically so that Mike Leach can be their head coach on Tuesday or Wednesday. They might be classy enough to wait until after the bowl game to hire Leach, but I'd be mildly surprised.

Record after week 2: 19-7 (10-15-1 ATS)
Noon ET
UConn (1-1) at Temple (2-0) (+6.5)
An intriguing game between two programs trying to take the water wings off and swim with the big kids. Both teams have been attempting to play clean, turnover-free football and be a pain in the ass to play ...

11:50 am: Morning! Finally, the first Saturday of college football season and...there's nothing but crappy games on at noon ET. Damn. I'll probably be rotating between Minny/Syracuse and Penn State/Akron, though I'm not thrilled with either game. The 3:30 games, however, are loaded and should be a hell of a ...

The 2009 season has officially started, and as I type this, I have no idea how my first set of picks turned out, but I don't really care that much. There's a hell of a long way to go in week one and I probably need the redemption. This is ...

I was JUST complaining about how no one makes these anymore - The Legend of Cecilio Guante
Matt Holliday to the Cardinals ...
