USC head football coach Steve Sarkisian was called out for the Ice Bucket Challenge by Trojans athletic director Pat Haden. Sarkisian upheld his end of the bargain on Sunday after USC’s practice, then issued his customary challenge to his mentor and good friend Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.
According to the challenge’s “rules,” Carroll now has 24 hours to undertake the challenge himself. Video of Sark’s challenge after the jump.
The Ice Bucket Challenge has been making its rounds on the Internet and is designed to raise awareness for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. It first gained popularity when motocross legend Jeremy McGrath posted a video of himself on his Instagram account pouring ice water on himself and challenging golfer Rickie Fowler, driver Jimmie Johnson and rapper Vanilla Ice to complete the challenge or pay $100 to charity.
Most of you have probably seen friends on Facebook taking the challenge. Well, now Carroll is likely next on the list.
