Brazil’s soccer team is in the middle of dominating at home in the 2013 Confederations Cup and the breakout star of the tournament is the host country’s young forward Neymar. The 21-year-old sensation has already scored two goals and assisted on another after an absolutely mind-blowing move along the touchline.
Neymar has played for Santos in the Brazilian league since 2009, but was recently sold to FC Barcelona for $57 million and he signed a five-year deal with the club. That means we’re likely to hear a lot more from him in the near future, and the pairing of the Brazilian sensation with Argentina’s Lionel Messi should make for must-see matches.
Just as a primer for what I’m sure will be a future of seeing his highlights everywhere, the following is a jaw-dropping video of some of Neymar’s best work over the years. It’s basically the soccer version of an AND1 Mixtape. Try to ignore the background music – which even Shakira would find too annoying to use – and just watch the brilliance.
