Ricky Rubio has only played in seven games so far this season after tearing the ACL in his left knee in March of last year. But the 22-year-old point guard is slowly working his way back into the lineup for the Minnesota Timberwolves. On Wednesday night, the Timberwolves fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder 106-84, but Rubio showed just how impressive his ball-handling skills with an insane pass with just under four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
As the above video shows, Rubio pulls the ball out to reset the offense, then busts out two crossover dribbles between his legs before throwing a bounce pass between his legs to Louis Amundson. Of course Amundson missed the shot that followed, so the gorgeous pass didn’t even count as an assist for the Spanish guard.
But still, the fact that Rubio can create plays like that out of nothing just shows what kind of player he is. Hopefully he gets back to full health soon, because he is really fun to watch.
