It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything Blake Griffin-related, but on Tuesday night he popped right back on our collective radar screen. Griffin’s Los Angeles Clippers were playing the Chicago Bulls, and his point guard, Chris Paul served up a beauty of an alley-oop to him.
On the play Paul drives towards the lane, faces a double-team, and as a result finds Griffin wide open under the basket. For some reason the Bulls thought it would be a good idea to leave Griffin alone five feet from the basket as one of the NBA’s best passers drove into the lane. What could possibly go wrong?
Griffin then goes all “Blake Griffin,” grabbing the ball ridiculously high off the floor and throwing it down over Chicago’s invisible defense. His head was easily at rim height and the dunk was characteristically gorgeous.
My favorite part of this video is how Bulls forward Carlos Boozer looks so ridiculously lost as the pass from Paul floats over his head. As if he’s saying, “wait, Blake Griffin is still on the floor?”
