The Los Angeles Clippers broke a three-game losing streak by defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 101-85 on Saturday afternoon. The win may have saved head coach Vinny Del Negro’s job for the time being.
While Chris Paul had some crazy, ankle-breaking moves during the game, the top play of the afternoon is shown in the above video, where he tossed an alley-oop to Blake Griffin.
Yeah, it may not be one of Griffin’s best dunks, but that peak is really tough to reach after all the sick throwdowns he’s had during his short career. If you watch the replay, you’ll get a sense of just how difficult Saturday’s dunk was.
Griffin spins away from his defender, then uses his off hand to re-direct the ball into the hoop. The guy is just silly at this point with his athleticism. And, you know, the perfect, pinpoint pass by Paul from 25 feet out is pretty fantastic as well.
