John Elway To Return To Denver Broncos?

Woody Paige is a well-known blowhard who often doesn’t know when to just pipe down and let the grown-ups talk. But this week he has an interesting take that actually sounds like a good idea. Don’t worry I checked, hell hasn’t frozen over.

Paige says that John Elway could be the man to turn the Denver Broncos around. Paige cites sources that say Elway would love to rejoin the Broncos in some full-time capacity.

Obviously this is one of those things that seems like a no-brainer. In fact, I’m a little shocked that Elway isn’t already a part of the organization in some capacity as it is. No one is suggesting that Elway should be the new head coach when if Josh McDaniels gets canned, but there is no reason why the best player in the franchise’s history shouldn’t be a part of that franchise.

Right now the Broncos are in a complete state of flux. The team has no direction and no leadership. If Denver brought in John Elway it would automatically give the players someone to respect in the front office. Someone who could relate to them and give them someone to look up to.

This just seems like a perfect opportunity for all parties and I’m shocked that the Broncos haven’t pursued it already.
