Last Thursday I picked San Diego State to cover four and a half points on the road against an atrocious BYU team. The Aztecs ended up losing 24-21 to the Cougars with a terrible tackling performance and one key botched replay on a BYU fumble that the officials didn’t see but everyone else could.
Turns out, those replay officials were suspended one game for missing that particular obvious replay call. Oh, and one of those “officials” was actually a BYU employee. Shenanigans!
Here’s what they missed:
How’s THAT for a botched replay call? Eh? Eh?
I’m not one to call people cheaters, but BYU was totally cheating. There was no way I could get that pick wrong. Certainly not because SDSU’s offense sputtered for large portions of the game against a terrible defense. Or because they couldn’t tackle an issue on the debate team, let alone a BYU ball carrier. I’m a genius, after all. It HAD to be cheating by BYU. And so it was.
At least that’s the story I’m going with.
