Yeah, Chappel blows. I can’t see how IU gets any better next year with basically the entire defense graduating. As bad as IU was on defense, just imagine how bad they’ll be when this year’s backups have to start. Yikes!

Yeah I don’t blame the kid for decommitting and staying in Cincy where he’s from and going to be on a better team. I agree our offense is fun to watch and should stay intact for next season but I would love to have one of Cincy’s QB’s taking the snaps. Chappell is decent but we could do better. Hopefully things will change before we are asked to leave the Big Ten for the MAC.

Actually, IU and Cincy did contend for some of the same recruits. The top Hoosier commit this year Jibreel Black (whose brother Larry started for IU on the D-line this year) backed out of his commitment to Indiana and instead chose to go to Cincy.
Though I can’t blame him. On one hand, you have this team that’s undefeated and ranked in the top-5. On the other, you have a team that continually finishes in the ass end of the Big Ten.
At least our offense is fun to watch ON occasion.

As an IU alum you would think I would be used to the fact that the IU football program will disappoint me at the end of every season. I enter each season opened minded, looking for the Hoosiers to contend for a bowl and they always fail. It’s time for the program to pony up the dough and find a coach that will put butts it the seats and win some games. Fire Lynch. Hep had this program headed in the right direction and we have now taken a giant step backward. If Cincinnati can be good there is no reason IU cannot contend for the same recruits. Go Hoosiers!
