Dock Ellis And His Acid-Induced No-Hitter

November 13, 2009 – 11:10 am by Matthew Glenesk

Most people know the story of the late Dock Ellis

He was a World Series winning pitcher for the 1971 Pittsburgh Pirates and the starter in that year’s All-Star Game. But Dock’s lasting legacy is his 1970 no-hitter, which he threw under the influence of LSD.

The way more creative guys than us over at No Mas put together this awesome cartoon re-enactment of Dock’s exploits June 12, 1970.

Enjoy.
