You’re right, I meant Williams, for some reason I got Ian Williams confused with Ethan Johnson, another Notre Dame defensive lineman. Thanks for pointing that out. Fixing it now.

If you are going to write such a strongly worded blog at least have some knowledge of what you are talking about. While Weis’ comments about Williams are ridiculous anyone who has paid any attention to ND and Weis over the years knows that he is the first to take responsibility for losses (just watch his press conferences after games). There are alot of reasons to slam Weis (most of which are much more intelligent and meaningful than just calling him fat by the way) but not taking responsibility for losses is not one. Next time you want to write an article do a little research.

Brian Kelly has been bandied about for a long time as Weis’ replacement, going back to Syracuse from last year.

I just couldn’t believe that someone actually put that as one of their priorities.

Saying someone is making a bad decision and tossing them under the bus for speaking the truth are two very different things.

And MJ, while Brian Kelly would be a nice hire, I wouldn’t be too quick to think he’ll be all Notre Dame’s. There are a few big jobs that could be open following this year and from what a lot of people have said, Kelly might not be all that excited to head to South Bend.

Just what I’m hearing. Though he’s sure to be the top candidate.

And, I actually saw some stupid sonuvabitch today on one of the ND boards say “We don’t want Brian Kelly. He’s pro-choice.”

Yeah, McD, he’s fat. But he’s also fucking clueless. Throw one of your two defensive coordinators who couldn’t figure out how to defend against the triple option under the bus, not one of the guys who was actually out there doing what he could with what the coaches gave him.

After Saturday, I wanted to see him go. After reading that quote, he can’t leave fast enough.
