Jesus, James Oliver, Phillips even says in the piece that he knows the AP poll doesn’t count toward the BCS. The larger point is that if even journalists don’t know/don’t care about how their poll looks then there is a pretty good chance something shady is happening in the polls that DO matter. Comment Fail.

You are blaming the BCS mess on Scott Wolf? Just how ignorant are you? Seriously, are you stupid?

The AP Poll, which Wolf submits a ballot for, is not part of the BCS formula and has not been for several years.

Doesn’t that make this “column” by you “an embarrassment to journalism”?

As a former journalism major, I was very reluctant to criticize Wolf. I can understand the tension many writers have with college football fans and initially thought that was the case with Wolf.

However, after reading his columns and blog for awhile, I have to say…he is extremely unprofessional and very immature.

The Daily News deserves and could do much better. A reporter who “reports” even when its something we don’t want to read is fine. Wolf’s juvenile antics and obvious bias aren’t.

This guy is a huge moron. I live in LA and unfortunately I read his articles, and they piss me off. All he does is bad mouth USC, so I dont know how he got the USC writer job. He writes a USC report card each week on the team. Last year USC’s defense report card had an average grade of a “C”, I really dont know what defense he was watching but I guess in his eyes to be above average you have to shut everyone out.
