To Watch Tonight…And Don’t Miss Our MLB Draft Live Blog!

eva-mendesMajor League Baseball Draft (MLB Network, 6 p.m.): The top pick is all but guaranteed to be Stephen Strasburg, and that doesn’t necessarily bode well for his future or that of the Wasington Nationals, which are pretty much forced to take the stud pitcher. After that, who knows? We know two things: Phillips and McD are live-blogging the event and a pitcher from our alma mater is going to go in the first round. Sweet!

Stanley Cup Finals Game 6, Detroit at Pittsburgh (NBC, 8 p.m.): Well, Detroit pretty much handled Pittsburgh in a 5-0 Game 5 win to take a 3-2 series lead. I’d like to say the Penguins are going to find a way to win tonight and get back to Detroit, but let’s be serious about the situation. Detroit’s Pavel Datsyuk is going to return tonight, as if the Wings needed any more help, and that seals the deal for me. Detroit hoists the Cup tonight.

NBA Finals Game 3, Los Angeles at Orlando (ABC, 9 p.m.): OK, so this is a must-win game for Orlando since they’re back at home and down 2-0, right? I would say yes. If Orlando doesn’t win this game the Lakers will clinch the title in Florida, which is kind of lame. I say the Magic take two-of-three at home and lose in Game 6. But that’s only if Rafer Alston shows up to play for the first time this series.

Training Day (BET, 12:30 a.m.): It’s not very often I turn to BET for good late night programming. Something about it just feels…awkward. But tonight we have one of Denzel Washington’s best and most sinister roles. It’s not exactly the weird late-night flick for which I’m usually looking but I’ll take it. Once the NBA Finals game is over this is a good way to end the night. The only problem I foresee is cable TV cutting out the scenes of Eva Mendes wearing nothing. Lame.
