Thursday night is supposed to be a fun time where you can imagine your teams' picks reaching their ceiling and how much better your team will be. I absolutely do not want to be reminded of how many players turn into absolute busts and what the chances are of the Pacers getting anything worthwhile. As for Bender, sure, the injury makes him a bust, but when he was healthy he was nasty. A 7 footer who could shoot 3's well (and over people) but could also drive to the basket. And while he no longer plays, he's done a ton of work in New Orleans, rebuilding homes and really establishing himself as one of the most important people in the city. So yeah he was a bust but he's a great guy and was awesome when he did play. This is not the kind of thing you want to read the day before the draft.
