This probably will be the fight of the year for boxing. It’s probably the beginning of the end of boxing being promoted. Once this fight sets a precedent to show the lack of hype from the fans, I think it will become apparent even to the people working in the sport. There are a few good fights left, but I feel like this is really headed on a downward plane.

I think Joe Rogan said it best when he said that the last famous boxers that anyone will remember are the ones we have now. Once they’re done, there won’t be any more notorious, household name boxers. It’s a dying sport and I’m not particularly happy with it, but I’ll be happy to watch this.

You’re right he fights orthodox. What I meant to say was that he’s a natural southpaw, who switched so he could lead with his left. Which is funny, because Manny’s best punch is his left and he’s a natural orthodox fighter who fights as a southpaw.
