You may have heard Monday something about this guy named Michael Jordan, who once played a bit part for the Chicago Bulls, getting elected to the basketball Hall of Fame.
Well, not to be outdone, Michael’s son Marcus also made a splash Monday with the highly anticipated announcement of where he’ll play his college ball.
Marcus chose…drumroll….CENTRAL FLORIDA!
Wait, what? Central Florida? Well that’s kind of disappointing. No North Carolina or Duke or some such elite place?
Apparently young Marcus, who led his Chicago high school to a state championship, wanted to go somewhere he could play right away, etc. etc. So that’s good for him, but we were expecting something a little more.
Also, you will recall Jeffrey Jordan walked on at Illinois and has since worked his way into a scholarship.
I guess it’s tough to live up to the unbelievably high bar Dad set.
