Linda McMahon Piledrives Her Way Onto Board of Education

February 26, 2009 – 2:44 am by TheRiot

I would venture a guess that about 90 percent of males at one point watched professional wrestling. You know what I mean: Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Chris Jericho, The Rock before he made terrible movies.

The lord over the whole WWF domain is, of course, Vince McMahon and his very rich family.

And if that wasn’t enough, the McMahons are branching out to representative government.

Yep, the Connecticut House of Representatives on Wednesday voted 96-45 to approve Vince’s wife, Linda, for a spot on the 11-member state board of education.

There was, naturally, a lot of back-and-forth as to whether Linda McMahon is suitable for such a position since she presides over professional wrestling. All that smut and violence is awful, just awful.

But, hey, she’s in.

She also happens to be qualified. Being the chief executive officer of an enormous venture like the WWF is no small task, and she’s a trustee at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. Also, according to the Hartford Courant story, she has had a “longtime interest” in education.

Well isn’t that nice.

Perhaps “The Macho Man” Randy Savage or Jesse “The Body” Ventura will go on to hold public office somewhere along the line.

Wait, that already happened?
