When I asked the guy why he did it, his friend PUT HIS BABY on the pavement (flat on her back on a busy walkway) to come over and take another swing at me. And of course, no security. I will admit that I was a bit concerned that there would be bitterness and anger afterwards, but making the long walk from Soldier Field to the Red Line I found myself laughing and joking with many of the Mexican fans (it probably helps that I speak Spanish). It's a shame you had a run-in with some of the worse Mexican fans, but I do not believe they were representative of all. It only takes one group of idiots to ruin things, though... Seriously though I am one of those few Mexicans that doesn't view this game as life or death. Win or lose we are both going to make the 2010 WC and we are both going to qualify out of our group stage and then lose in the first round to Germany and Cameroon.
