Bug Selig Would Appreciate Not Being Blamed for Steroid Era

So there was that big Alex Rodriguez press conference today, where he revealed more about his use of performance-enhancing drugs. Compelling stuff.

There was also this little piece of news: Bud Selig just isn’t going to accept the blame for the Steroid Era.

And that makes absolutely zero sense. Sure, Bud, blame it on the all-powerful players union that you were powerless against.

Maybe the union did fight against drug testing, but the facts are simple: You were the multi-million dollar making commissioner of Major League Baseball during that time period. Therefore, you are responsible.

It is your legacy, for better or worse. Nothing you’ve done since will wipe that away, no matter how much you’ve accomplished since the steroid bubble popped.

Hell, for all we know, nothing would’ve change under your watch if it weren’t for BALCO.

So please, quit begging off the responsibility. Clown.
