Goodnight, Sweet Special One

It can’t be. It just can’t be. The greatest British, soccer-themed news parody show featuring puppets is done after just over a year on the air. “I’m On Setanta Sports” is no more. This weekend, there will be no more Special One. No more “It” and no more me trying to do my own Wayne Rooney impersonation, like. It’s all over, like.
I don’t know why the Brits decided to stop the show, but I can only speculate that it’s because they suck and we won the Revolutionary War. Plus, our football is better than theirs. And our women are hotter. Damn, none of this is making me feel better. I’m a wreck and I only watch the show on YouTube, since there’s no way in hell I’m getting up early Saturday and Sunday mornings to go to some bar and watch soccer. Yes there is, but that’s not the point.
This sucks. I knew this show would end up hurting me and the rest of us here at Rumors and Rants. But I/we went with it anyway. Here’s a couple of our favorite episodes, damnit. As Booter told me on the phone, this is like choosing between children, so it’s not a comprehensive list.
