We all know that any respectable sports fan knows a good taunt when they hear it. We’re not talking about those run of the mill taunts you hear all the time, but real, original stuff. The kind that when you hear it at the ballpark or the stadium you laugh and your girlfriend wonders why you’re not that original.
Seriously, what would sports be if we couldn’t sit in the stands and dog opposing players?
There are those of us on this blog that have even been confronted by a professional athlete’s mommy after getting on said athlete thoughout the game. Others of us have been told to pipe down by an usher after letting George Leach have it for an entire game.
Anyway, it appears some Notre Dame football players have been the target of some rather hilarious taunts of the years. Here’s our favorite, from offesnive lineman Eric Olsen:
“I like when you get a penalty and fans yell ‘It’s all your fault. It’s all your fault.’ That’s a good one. But, a guy from Mike Turkovich’s high school, when we played them, told me I was ‘softer than his grandma’s cookies.’ That was, that had to be the best thing I ever heard in my whole life.”
We had no idea people disliked Notre Dame so much? Huh. We learn something new every day.
