When we sit around and think of the things Joakim Noah is good at, let’s be honest, Wii isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But if he’s not working on his awesome dance moves or picking out a new bow tie, what would he be doing other than playing video games?
Working on his balky shooting stroke? Putting on some more muscle? Trying not to get in trouble with his team anymore? Nah. Well, maybe he is doing those things. In fact, we hope so.
What we do know for sure is that he’s spending some time during his offseason unveiling exclusive clubs at the United Center and beating Blackhawks wunderkind Patrick Kane at a Wii basketball game. Sweet.
First of all, we love this kind of cross promotional goodness. Nothing fires me up like knowing two recent first round draft picks (one awesome, the other still figuring things out) are hanging out together a little bit.
Second of all, we’d like to see a rematch in a hockey game with a tiebreaker in a baseball game to determine who is the better gamer.
We can’t imagine Noah knowing the first thing about hockey and Kane is like 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds and spends his winters on skates. He can’t be too good at hoops. A rematch is a fantastic idea.
