Great Oden’s Raven the Rams are Awful

Here’s the thing, we knew all those Greatest Show on Turf days were long behind the St. Louis Rams. In fact, it’s been five years since the Rams had a winning season (12-4 in 2003).

So that means since taking the starting job over in 2002, Marc Bulger hasn’t been a winning quarterback. Which is kind of funny because for a few years there he was a fantasy football stud. You’d think they would’ve won a few more games.

Anyway, we don’t have to worry about that any more because the Rams have benched Bulger for the time being. Trent Green is going to swoop in for the rescue.

That’s 38-year old Trent Green. Which probably isn’t going to do much good since the biggest issue with Bulger is he gets sacked all the time. So is an old geezer really going to help out in that respect? In a word: NO.

Thing is, the Rams are just bad. The quarterback situation is screwed now, the offensive line sucks, the defense does more harm than good and the only play makers are Steven Jackson and Torry Holt.

At 0-3 Scott Linehan is going to start worrying about his job. Wouldn’t be surprised if he got fired soon. That is unless Trent Green can work his magic.

  2. I think the Rams are hoping a defensive player will blow out Green’s knee and unheralded Brock Berlin will lead them to the Super Bowl. Then St. Louis will party like it’s 1999!!!

  3. So we have a team and quaterback with a winning tradition and they get a new coach. Then suddenly the wheels come off, they tank. No offense or defense and it’s…the quarterbacks fault??? Scott, if your going to bench someone maybe it ought to be the guy that looks back at you in the mirror each morning…that is, if you’re able to look at yourself in the morning…
