‘Round the Association: Our First Game 7 Awaits

San Antonio 99, New Orleans 80: Let’s see, where was this game? Oh yes, San Antonio. And let’s check the score…yes. It all makes sense. The home team won in yet another blow out. So, Game 7 beckons back in New Orleans.

If recent history is to tell us anything Hornets fans can start snapping up tickets for the Western Conference Finals. Then again, Chris Paul and Co. are an awful young team with no Game 7 experience.

As you might have heard the Spurs have won a few championships and are mildly adept in these back-against-the-wall situations. We all know anything can happen in a win-or-go-home game. Chris Paul could score 60. Manu could hit 15 threes. Tim Duncan could break his leg on the way home tonight.

I could get hit by a bus after posting this. It’s just a crazy world we live in. Who knows what will happen next!

  2. This is the main reason why they are the defending champion. If not none of this would have been possible.

I have to admit that I had my fair share of doubts before the game. But in the end, this is what Spurs will always do. Raise their bar when everyone least expect them to do so.

I’m extremely happt that the biggest contributor was Manu. He was just sensantional.

If there is one player that the Spurs would need to inspire them in Game 7, in my mind it has to be Obi Wan Ginobili.

But lets forget the Hornets will not give in easily. On their turf they play like they are the Champion. It will be extremely difficult for the Spurs in NO.

Anyway, I’ve posted my own review of the game. I would love to hear your thoughts/opinions of the game as well…..

And most certainly, a speedy recovery to David West.
