No Worries, Chief Wahoo is OK

Do you recall that time not so long ago when everyone was super worried about the American League Central? I do. What a fine time it was.

The whole damn thing was upside down. The Indians and Tigers were playing real crappy and the White Sox were perched atop the division like a barn owl. There was optimism in Chicago and Minnesota that their teams might actually be better than advertised.

Well, things are normalizing, boys and girls, as they often do in baseball. The Tribe, at 21-19, reign supreme in the Central again and for the foreseeable future. And the Tigers still suck (16-24, last place).

Not only that, C.C. Sabathia has things figured out. As if he wouldn’t. He was an abomination early in the season, but pitched a complete game, five-hit shutout in Wednesday night’s 2-0 against Oakland. His ERA is down to 5.47 after being something like 14.00 for awhile.

It’s still hard to imagine what’s wrong with Travis Hafner (.218). If he does ever get going, though, things will really get rolling. Hooray, Cleveland Native Americans!

  2. not to mention this rediculous starter scoreing streak…they were saying last night no set of starts has done this in like 50 years.
