Jon Lester Proves Once Again the Sports World Revolves Around New England

It makes people around the Midwest sick, but it’s pretty hard to complain about an East Coast bias when all the good stuff happens over there.

New York Giants. Boston Celtics. New England Patriots. Boston Red Sox. Hockey (they only play that on the East Coast, right?). Clay Buchholz.

And now Jon Lester. First he beats cancer to come back and play baseball, now he’s all no-hitting the Royals on Monday night at Fenway. Pretty impressive stuff from the lefty.

Think about it: The last two players to throw no-hitters are Lester and Buchholz, both of whom are under 25 years old and pitch for the Red Sox. So that begs this question: Just how good will the Red Sox be in the forseeable future since Josh Beckett isn’t exactly old (28).

Yuck.
