Boston 106, Detroit 102: I mean, I don’t even know what to post anymore. The Celtics lose on the road, for the most part, and they’re unbeatable at home. On the road, they score in the 70s, at home they score in the 90s, and with their defense, are impossible to beat.
The Pistons made it way, way closer down the stretch than I thought it would be. But in the end, all that matters is the loss. Great cliche right there.
I was almost ready to give Detroit a slight advantage in closing out this series if only because they could potentially go into Boston and spoil the tea party. Plus I just started rooting against the Celtics. Turns out I underestimated (again) just how good the C’s are at home.
At this point I’m willing to go out on this fairly sturdy limb: This series is OVA. I can’t wait to see all those Larry Bird-Magic Johnson clips. It’s going to be awesome.
