Site News And Pictures From Green Bay

Sorry for the lack of updates yesterday, McD and I were in the process of driving back/recovering from our weekend trip to Lambeau Field to watch the Chargers disappoint us. We’ll have a review of the trip up later but I badly need to head to the gym and hope to sweat all of this “Wisconsin Badness” out of my system. Here are some pictures of the trip to give you a little insight:

The Un-Frozen Tundra. It was 85 freaking degrees. We all got sunburned. But only on the right sides of our bodies. So naturally 31-24 loss went over real well.

Packers fans are exceedingly strange. Even creepy.

Thank the Lord they’re creative. Yes that is a motorized cooler. This guy took drinking and driving to a whole new level. Since his drinks were supplied by the thing he was driving. Awesome.

I thought the idea was to get skinny, hot chicks to take their bras off. Apparently not in Green Bay. An actual quote from a Packers fan on seeing Booter, McD and I in our LT throwback jerseys, “Bet you don’t see stuff like that in California.” My response, “Nope. We don’t put bras on dairy cows back home.”

But I’ll give Packer-Fan this, they show up to games …

… have a great sense of history …

… and aren’t afraid to be seen in ridiculous “mistake purchase” jerseys. Don “The Majik Man” Majkowski and Mark Chmura were just the tip of the iceberg.

  2. I think the best quote of the trip was from Mike, friend of Rumors and Rants, lifelong Vikings fans, and Chargers fan for the day, who on the way out of the stadium after listening to creative smack talk like “Chargers suck” and “go back to san diego” said “I almost forgot why I hate Packers fans.”

Mike, we salute you and join in your hatred of Packers fans.

  3. A good time of the year to go to the Tundra, I would imagine. I’ve never been, but I’m guessing it’s not too fun much past October. Especially if you’re not rooting for the Packers.

Mark Chmura was treid in a court of law and acquitted. He was a fan favorite and had his life destroyed no good reason.

  5. Mark Chmura was tried in a court of law and acquitted.

That only means there was not enough evidence to convict beyond a reasonable doubt. Not “no good reason”. Sort of like OJ, you know?

And, at least part of the reason he is not highly regarded is that he came up as a hypocrite – you know, family man in a hot tub with drunk teenage girls.

  6. Steven,
Yeah and O.J. was tried in a court of law and acquitted. His life and acting career were destroyed for no good reason.

Bottom line is this, no one disputes the fact that he was married and was in a jacuzzi with a bunch of high school chicks after their prom. He was 31-years-old and playing drinking games with high school chicks in a jacuzzi. Even if he didn’t have sex with anyone, that alone makes him creepy.

  7. We were a little more creative on our way out of the game. We were singing at the top of our lungs, “It’s a long way back, to san diego, especially when your team is one and two”. The Chargers did play a hell of a game.

  8. Question, has Mike from Minnesota moved out of his grandmas basement yet?? Typical Vikings, like anyone at the “metrodump” is on the “worlds most beautiful people lists’..NOT. As a Giants fan, I have nothing but respect for the Pack , their fans, and their stadium. Do you have stadium envy mr charger fan. I watched the cheifs-chargers game and I sure didnt see any “hot” chiks at Qual comm either, and I’am sure you are no Brad Pitt yourself. Calling people ugly, what classes are you going to take when you get to Jr. High..Idiot
